    igf-1 6 weeks out

im preparing for the provincials on july 8 in montreal and I got my hands on 2000mcg igf-1 which expires 2006-08, Im in the heavyweight division and my bodyweight is 223lbs 4.8% body fat. i am not using any growth hormone and my carb intake is around 200 grams a day. now is igf worth using without hgh and will it make a differance for my contest preparation (remember im just over 6 weeks out)and will my low carb make me go in hypo. I do not plan in using any hgh until I prepare for the canadian championships next year. so im not sure what to do with all this............any suggestions?

lr3 can help you to get the last bf% off while slightly increasing your cal intake.

good luck with your show, keep us posted.

i would take 80mcg pwo as that will prob be the time that you consume most of your carbs. as far as hypo, this will vary alot on individual. i myself hardly notice any drop in bloodsugar while some of my gym buddys go hypo real fast but its never as drastic as with slin.

I dont think the fructose in the applesauce is enough to offset the IGF hypo for somebody with your bodymass...but check it out and have some sucrose on hand. I wouldn't split the dose according to your workouts.

ive been doing 50mcg after my first workout for 2 days now and everything is going just fine, so ill stick with that till the end, i dont want to mess around with my carbs too much cause im right on track for the contest.thanks for the info everyone.

i hate to high jack your thread but i just have on quick question...I am 3.5 weeks out and was thinking of adding some IGF1-LR3 at a dose of around 60-80mcg. now i was wondering if i can run it right up to the show even though i will carb depleteing, if so is it really worth it? and as long as i do it pwo before my breakfast i should be ok.

I will typically run about that during certain times of the year with LR3, and so far it has been without incident. The impact on BG levels with LR3 is much more mild than with insulin ... very minimal with all but a complete keto diet for most people, including me.

As Rodge has already mentioned, if you respond like I do you will be able to keep the calories up a bit more than normal contest prep rations while still leaning out nicely for contest time. Best of luck ... keep us posted on how it works out for you and how the contest goes.
ok ill start tomorow at 60 mcg ..........itll make me go up till about 1 week and half before my show just in time to start depleting. just like that for those interested check out my website www.maxduchemin.com its got a little video of what i looked like 2 months ago........and a section with my past contests ( in..........gallery) its in french though but its easy to get around.i will keep you guys posted for this year . check out the pics in province 2005 where I finished 2nd in the heavyweights last year (the guy that beat me won the overalls) big show 108 athletes in all. so im pretty careful not to make any mistakes this year doing my homework. thanks again for the info.
