Carbs, Fats, Proteins...what are the best sources? Questions on Cardio also

Ok, I've been doing my homework in here, but like in my foreign language class, I get confused. Y'know, I used the Steroid Diet and Fitness link above and went to Steroid Diet......this article says you should take 800-900 grams of carbs and that the best source(s) are rice, potatoes, whole wheat bread, and (maybe) grains....not sure about that one.

He also said to take in 4500 to 5000 calories....this is for bulking, along with 250 grams of protein.......WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THIS?
What are your suggestions on caloric intake for a guy who is 208 pounds, 6'2" tall?

I want to hear others ideas on what their sources of Proteins, Carbs and Calories come from..........

Here's a newbie question for you........In all these diets I see guys using measurements on foods that I go.......how do they do that? Do they use a scale or something? HOW DO YOU GUYS MEASURE YOUR FOOD?????

Of course I am doing research on here, but would like some direct responses from those who have more experience than I.......

I EAT ALOT OF GRAINS SUCH AS WHOLE GRAIN CEREALS, OATMEAL, AND WHOLE WHEAT BREAD. I gave up on potatoes awhile back because I got the impression that they weren't good to eat......From what I have read here, some people use potatoes as their MAIN SOURCE of carbs.....is that true?
What about instant potatoes? Are those okay to substitute for the real one's???? I also eat Cream of Wheat, alot of protein powder, I do use butter, but its low in calories and fat

TODAY I ATE 2466 CALORIES, 56.5 GRAMS OF FAT, 246 GRAMS OF CARBS, 21.5 GRAMS OF FIBER AND 238 GRAMS OF PROTEIN.......do I need to eat more If I am looking to bulk up on the muscle? Will I get fat if I do?............

LAST ONE>.......do the same guys that eat these diets incorporate Cardio into their routine. This is another thing that has me confused, I have read alot on here and have read different things...........

THAT'S IT....WHEW. If anybody can spend the time to just talk about one of these things I would appreciate it

People tend to overlook stickies. It should be the first thing people read when entering forums, they are VERY useful and full of information. Check them out and come back with any questions. BTW, I would cut out the butter. Try substituting it with Pam or another derivative.

Stickys tend to answer ALL NEWBIE QUESTIONS to save us the trouble of having to iterate over and over to go back and have a look at them.

Not hatin' on ya, though. We all start somewhere.
