    Customs: How long....

    Hi guys,

I was wondering if you could tell me how long ( more or less) takes for international packages to get cleared once they are in US customs. I have a pack in US customs as we speak and has been there for 4 days. Tuesday was a holiday so I wonder if this delayed everything.

    Any input would be great.

    Thanks

I don't think anyone could tell you for certain, especially as different customs offices are busier than others and have slower turnaround times. But four days esp with a holiday is nothing to be concerned over-probably released today or monday I would bet.

I agree. The holidays can really delay shipping.

How do you know it is hung up in customs? How was it shipped? One thing I learned is if it is being shipped USPS, their tracking system is not very accurate.

    Thanks.

I saw the tracking number and it says the pack is inbound in customs.

If its in bound to customs your pack is gone, took over a month for me to get the letter.

Customs can sniff out gear packages...just by looking at them most times. These intl shippers try to save $$ by sending gear in manilla envelopes with handwritten addresses and funky return addresses. It reeks of seizure.

Now we have to worry about legit gear and decent shipping!

i agree, u might very well be shit out of luck. Usually if they don't suspect something your package will just pass through customs, but if its been their for a while then chances are its not gonna be released. I have had customs open my packages and they could clearly see it was Test, but still sent it to me, but i'm in Canada so the laws are a bit different, here were we can have a small amount in our possession for personal use, just can't be caught dealing or buying, none the less i was still ****ing blown away that they didn't sieze it.

Man, this is the government we're talking about, you really think it's gonna work like it should? I have heard of many guys getting letters months and months after a seizure.
