    returning to gym

well 7 weeks after surgery a total of about 12 weeks outta the gym im going to attempt to get back in. im starting to walk better with lots of therapy but still far away from recovered. i am 22lbs lighter then pre surgery. my goal for now is to start slow and do get back in 3x a week doing things like pullups, pushups, abs and some machines that i can do arms and whatever else that puts absolutly no stress on the knee. gonna get my diet in check and get back into the protein intake on monday.. its all mental from here..

thanks bro but lol, i was told that in a few weeks its possible that i will be going back to the hospital to have my knee manipulated, which means that its not bending as much as it should be at this point because of scar tissue. so they need to put me to sleep and while im out they will manually bend it to break up some of the scar tissue.. its supposed to help me out much but it will set me back being sore for a week. we are trying to avoid this process so im letting my therapists work it harder. its funny to see me in the training room screaming like a little girl when i let them push it really hard.. we will see..

Know how your feeling bro. Tonight is my first day back in the gym in over 7 weeks because of my surgery. Take it easy and hope everything goes well. Let us know how things go.

thanks for replies guys. i did return today and hit up some pullups, light benchpress (150lbs) no problem. situps and pushups. only did about 20 minutes or so and got pretty fatigue tho stregnth wasnt as bad as i thought it would be.. legs moving around a bit better. im letting them push it real hard at PT id rather slowly take pain to help it rather then them doing it in one shot and making me lose a week....gonna try to do a bit more tommarow.
