thigh soreness ...first injection!

i did my first injection in outer thigh 250 test cyp with 25g 1 pin yesterday..everything went smooth, it was easier than i thought went in like butter no pain at all, anyways right now i feel little soreness on lower thigh about 8 inches down from injection site, i was wondering if it normal to have soreness far away from injection site nothing biggy just little soreness its my first shot ever

man i have been injecting about 5 times a week for three weeks and the sites still get sore but the injection pain does eventually get easyier and better

i wouldn't become concerned until that pain hung around for a few days..sometimes after a quad inj i will get pains lower toward my knee, why? i dont know, but they usually subside

hap that's where i have now next to lower toward my knee, strange, probably oil is traveling down!!

As long as you followed sterile technique you are fine. I ALWAYS get sore in my quads after injecting. Also, inject slowly and rub the area afterwards. I inject so slow I could fall asleep!

hey guys its been two days since my first shot and pain is getting worst, iam still can walk but still hurts like mofo..i have little puffness on my knee and it's little red not much..little soreness at injection site but hurts about 8 inches down to my knee.. i don't know that to do any advices mu next injection is tomorrow morning.........

What level of pain are you at on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the worst pain that you have ever felt in your life)? If it is at six or above, you need to consult your doctor immediately (don't worry about legal issues as you have a doctor-patient privilege). For future injections, here are some tips that have worked for others and myself to decrease soreness:

-Consider running hot water over the syringe before you inject an oil- based solution. It decreases the viscosity of the fluid.

-Inject very slowly. The gentleman who made the comment of injecting at a rate that induces sleep was right on the money.

- Rub the injection site (and a little around it) after the injection. Don't rub to hard and not for too long as this will do more harm than good.

- Make sure that you are using the proper gauge and length needle for the injection site muscle.

- Stray from injecting more than 3ml in one site.

Occasionally it may take a day or two for the pain to peak, but if it's still getting worse on day 3 or 4 go see your doc.

massage it a lot and get the oil warm before injecting. that should help some. if you have swelling and pain after 3 days i'd say see a doc. my pain is usually gone next day.

for some reason swelling is on my knee i don't why and injection was done on outer thigh about 8 inches up, don't know why my knee was swelled up..i am doing something wrong?..how do we get swelling ? because not injection deep enough or wha, i just took Tylenon to kill my pain..my pain is about 6-7 out of 10..i followed all sterile preceduces..i used 1 inch 25 pin and i poked it about 80% of it..any help guys..

Sometimes my quad injects hurt like hell for a week, other times not at all, I wouldn't worry about it unless it still hurts for longer than a week.

maybe you just didnt poke it deep enough?I have used 1,5 inch needle to thighs ,but these days i use 1 1/2inchers.Next time atleast poke it 100%.

i only have 1 inch pins, but will poke all the way
