    Arrow EMPLOYERS: when you view an application.....

    How much attention do you pay to the "references"? I hate trying to think of ppl that I know and that will give a good report of me. I know I can stratagize by calling the reference etc., but I really dont want to..haha. How safe will I be if I just right down some ppl that Ive known but am not really close to?

    I am a student applying for a part time job at meaningless jobs btw (nutrition store, clothes etc)

    i know over here they gotr to give u a reference. they hardly check on them. my last 2 jobs i put my mate as a professional and they didnt check it lol. he is a tire fitter

    The company I work for checks them ALL. We even run a background check on people to make sure everything in the resume is legit, including start and end times of previous jobs and confiring any qaulifications. You would be amazed how many people bullshit about that.

    i don't think they really check the references. just put good friends that won't dick you over

    so it seems I could just right down some ppl from my church or that I went to highschool with?...I guess its just a wildcard when it comes to how much they will investigate.
