Does anybody have anecdotal evidence that supplementing with Leucine has benefits in hypertrophy?

esp as an anticatbolic
It's the main BCAA, obviously it is beneficial.

been on it since June 15th and today is August 3rd.
I don't think it did much of anything for me, just my 2 cents.
well i started using it a week ago. 30g a day, kinda high but hey they say 5-10g 2-4 times a day.
i use 10g pre, 10g post, 5 when i wake, and 5 before bed.
Yes I supplement throughout the day during my comp prep dieting.. since this is my first comp I can't comment on how it was without it but I am holding muscle mass very well with tons of cardio and moderate calories.. I take 10g BCAA's 30min before each meal and other planned times during the day.Originally Posted by rake922

The rest of your diet will be more of a deciding factor as well as your training.. it's mearly a supplement don't expect to see visable gains in a small amount of time IMO.Originally Posted by rake922
They are mearly proteins, I think your expectations of them are too high maybe.
It's been studied everywhere lately, and shown to work good, but I do not think it'll be one of those prodcuts that you take it and you actually see/feel benefits
I would rate this supplement so-so...if one was dieting then it will spare some protien and preserve some muscle but I dont think its protein sparing abilities are enough to really see weight gain the only noticible effects is ones recovery
MY 2 CENTS
Leucine should be taken right after you work out as it is the initial trigger of protein synthesis.
