    West side Q

    When taking the wesr side approach to DE days which 50% are you supposed to train with,your raw ME or your geared bench?

    good question, i think most west side guys use 50% of there shirted max,which i find to be a mistake, use your raw max,it just makes more sense

    shirted max, if you train raw the percentages are a little higher i think 60% range

    Thanks guys,correct me If I'm wrong=50% of shirted,60% of raw

    best option, use the pendulum wave, 1st wk 50% 2nd wk 55% 3rd wk 60% and than start the wave over. most westside goons do this for the squat, but the press for some reason they usualy stick to one constant percentage.

    the way to look at it is like this, the percents are a guideline,they arent written in stone. dont be afraid to go a little lighter or heavier

    i personalylike uing thewave as opposed to the same weight wk after wk, i feel this keeps me from feeling the workout is going stale

    you can go even too 45% of your raw max and wave it to 55% and gauge your speed on the different percentages...remember its the speed that matters

    exactly, it is really different for every person
