Cortezone I think is something that is used for that
If I'm not mistaken I think that's for joints I could be wrong but I've had cortizone shots in both my shoulders for joint pain.but thanks for your quik suggestion man.
Cortisone injections are a powerful fast working anti-inflammatory, steroid hormone. The body produces cortisone naturally but ordinarily not in sufficient amounts to quickly ease the pain and inflamation. It might over a period of time but the shots work exceedingly faster. Just remember, cortisone is a "catobolic" steroid so you don't want to take too many or take them for a long period of time. It might take 2-3 days for it to work and if one injection doesn't completely get rid of the inflammation you might need another. You're lucky to find a doc who will give it to you since most of them are reluctant to do so.Originally Posted by dedic8ed1
ask for a hot of demmoral, you wont feel anything he rest od the day. it ownt fix the problem, but it sure feels good
The problem is this injury is old, shoveling snow out of my driveway 2 years ago.My doctor gave me a couple injections in my LAT where the pain is but it' didn't do shit. It's more of a painfull irritation that gets worse when I move and unbarrable after a whole week of training. He's now sending me to this pain managment place facility for deeper cortizone injections, but will cortizone really heal this constant infflamation? It's almost like I have to acceppt the reality that I'll never heal properly and not be able to train the way I normaly do.
try a deep tissue massage or ART... cant hurt

I was dissapointed with ART..as it did not resolve any of my tendon problems at all and I am only 24.
But that is my experience.
Hopefully it will work for you.
how long did you try it for?Originally Posted by fossilfuel7

I am actually able to perform ART on myself(it is very simple) after observing her and I get the same temporary relief for a brief amount of time and that is it. It's no cure IMO.
I have some really nagging chronic tendonosis problems though for a number of years now. Never torn anything..just tendonitis turned into tendonosis.
I feel like my body will never be able to catch up to healing these tendon problems without supraphysiological amounts of HGH IMO.
My doctor feels the same way
It gets better with activity and it gets worse with activity...and is a constant cycle of nagging pain![]()
I know of alot of people on this board that have knocked there tendon/ligament problems out with GH.
