    Shoulder injury

Hey guys. I've been stuggling with some shoulder pain for a month or so now. I didn't injure myself or anything, it just sorta came on. When it started, it was just popping every now and again. Then the popping became worse and the pain started. Shoulder press, incline press and laterals are impossible to do. My doc just suggested taking anti Inflammatories for it. After a few days, the pain subsided, but the popping came back. Now i've stopped the pills, the pain is back. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I just had shoulder surgery and I'm going to school for med so i'll try to give my $.02.. It kinda sounds like you may have rotatorcuff tend. and the doc prob gave you naproxin for it. If it continues it could be a number of things. It sounds alot like mine but the pops turned into dislocations because of a "hillsacks fracture" that caused my tendons and labrum or cartalige to strech and rip... I'd say go for a MRI just to be safe.. Just know that the MRI they put a 5" long spinal needle in the front of your shoulder and pop it through the cartalige then put in 15mls of a fluid in the joint... but best of luck with it!
