I bet you that just about every single person that comments on here will say no. The truth is that top professionals do it all the time but they know EXACTLY how and when to do it.

Unless you have the exact way to do it then I'd say no. Reason being that all the time you've spent getting ready for your show may be wasted do to those couple of days of Slin. It will totally screw you up if you just slip up a little. Dont want to come in flat when you could have left out the Slin and been much more dryer..

Using slin cannot be that difficult. I know pros do it for a living but I cannot imagine using slin can be that difficult for the average user. The concept seems easy. What am I missing? I dont have much experience with slin but the overall use seems easy if you have used it before.

It may not be too difficult running it on or off a cycle if you know exactly what you are doing. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut we are talking about precontest here carbloading. There is a HUGE difference between running it while you carbload and just throughout a cycle. If you're off just one bit you can come out looking flat and completey ruin any chance you had at placing.

What about somebody who plans on shitloading the morning of the show, would hitting some slin at say 6:00am and then sugar/fat load the next couple of hours? Anybody?

I wouldn't risk it if you haven't done it before stacked. You'd need to know exactly how you'd respond to that specific protocal. I'm pretty sure you'd come in looking flat though.

I've known a few people to use slin 2-3 days before the show when they began their carb up. But I've never actually seen anyone use it "day of".

If you've competed before the answer'd be clear.

The last couple days pre-contest are used to fill out maximally..while dropping subcutaneous water retention.

Last i checked slin increases subQ water retention.

So while it isn't impossible to use it for carb loading, it is precarious..requiring total precision

Even with perceived knowledge of the application of slin in this medium.. there's a chance of messing up

Look at pros who've looked killer the day prior to a contest...then the day of the contest they're watery.

I think you would want to be fairly familiar regarding how much nutrients your body needs and at what times etc before you start taking insulin around this time. The way I see it is, you have to look at the benefits if you succeed, and the benefits aren't really that great IMO, so maybe it's not worth the risk incase you do screw up.

I'nm talking about if your already water depleted and your using a shot of slin 3 hours b4 the show while taking in your fat/sugar load. Do you guys feel that the margin for error in this case would be as high? I dont see how it could make you look any worse if you did it like this, no water to hold, and w/ the sugar load there'd be no chance of light headedness or hypo. Your thoughts?
