    What is it?
Fresh Organic Baby Romaine Salad, red onions, sauteed mushrooms, seasoned fresh cut string beans and aspargus steamed (King of veggies) and then drizzled with balsamic vinegar before making the salad and then finsished off with garlic parmesan shrimp (I bought at Wal-Mart beleive it or not) and small pieces of
fresh peaches. With fresh ground pepper and other spices to add the final touches. Awfully good and pretty good to look at. Ohh yeah and a glass of dark wine is a staple. Loaded with antioxidants. If you don't love this, you don't get it.

Notice variety, freshness, texture, and color are good my guides. Low energy density is desirable.

One thing you will also see about my meals are the weight; the meals are heavy in weight and quite filling. Yet, the high water content, which is key to weight, makes digestion fairly easy. And the energy density is low. Also notice there is no simple carbs and no manufactured food.

There are no recipes for meals like these, you just have to do them. And, if you can't do this on the fly how are you ever going to be lean and healthy?

Any other suggestions for good, natural sources of antioxidants, usual? Haven't touched the drink in 372 days and hoping to keep on that path. Which fruits/foods would you say are comparable?

The meal looks damn good, though.

I would've torn up 3-4oz of chicken breast or salmon and put in the salad.
You got a whole 100-150calories from that big plate I used to eat those everynight while dieting for contest.

Btw, US what are your stats? Goals?

Yes that is a very light meal for me. I was kinda in a rush last night so I was rather limited on time. Normally I'd have at least a half can of wild salmon (Trader Joes) which amounts to about 40-50 grams of protein, some leftover meat from the night/meal before or a stir-fry (no rice of course!) of chicken (at least 3-4 oz hehe) or seafood.

About an hour later, I did scarf down about a half of bag of pistacios to make up for it though. This is just one of my many meals. Some larger than others of course. Over the next wks I'm gonna try to post more pics of meals on here (if interest is there of course.)

IB, as for my stats bro...right now I weigh about 205 pounds, 5'10 with a dense and athletic musculature and less than 7% body fat. I was a lot bigger in terms of mass but finally figured out that the weight I was carrying around was mostly dumb muscle. In other words it wasn't very functional. I could throw around 100lb dumbells with no problem but had trouble helping my brother move-in furniture up two flights of stairs without getting winded. Not good.

I guess thats when I finally realized being "fit" ment more than dressing the part. It meet more than just looking good and having a good phyisque. In the broadest sense, fitness to me was not only looking good body comp wise, but also maintaing high strength and performance levels. Not to mention taking care of my health as well. I actaully haven't been sick in the last year since changing my diet around (Its the little things you come to appreciate once you make a change and look back hehe).

Not to sound crass here but weight is not as important to me as is performance, body composition and health.

I'm more focused on my "fitness" and "health" level right now, particulary how many handstand pushups I can complete in a minute (without the wall as assistance) and most importantly, how I feel from a mental standpoint.

In the past when I trained like a bb doing factory work at the gym I truly felt like shit. Yeah I looked and dressed the part, but my energy levels suffered, I was constantly sore, always stuffed and bloated, perspired at the most inopportune (sp*) times, and downright was stressed out constantly worrying about eating every two hours and always fullfilling my macronutrient needs lol.

So to better answer your question (I tend to ramble sometimes sorry)...becoming a functional human "animal" is my goal. Being "fit," lean, healthy, mobile and very flexible is what I strive for each and every day. My look more resembling a lean fit (completely rid of diseases) hunter gatherer from back in the day than a modern day bodybuilder.

Agreed USusp.. I try and stretch a few times a week and do some sort of cardio to keep myself healthy, also not overfeeding constantly goes a long way. 5'10" at 205 7% is a respectable size for sure, I'm an inch shorter and 10lbs heavier at the same BF, very similar in size and easy to maintain.
