    Freakin Apricot Scrub

I read that apricot scrub was good for black heads and everything. So I got some to try. To be on the safe side I got the sensitive skin type. I barely scrubbed at all cause I know it can be rough on the skin. The only thing I scrubbed with were my gentle fingers...yet now I see that my nose is peeling??? wha??

Experience with this? what did I do wrong?

Either you have really sensitive skin or you havn't exfoliated in a long time. Either way, your face will get used to it and you'll start noticing improvements pretty soon. Just make sure you only use the scrub 2-3 times a week, dont scrub too hard and make sure to use a moisturizer afterwards.

Wow Myka, you must have really sensitive skin! Have you tried the pore strips? I know some people say they suck, but if you steam your face first and lightly massage the area--it warms the oil plugs and makes it easier for the strip to pull them out.

The best way to get rid of blackheads around the nose is to prevent them. Try using a salicylic toner and a good oil controlling lotion on the area.

I would say suck it up and go for the good stuff. M.A.C. makes an incredible micro-fine pore scrub. Origins makes a charcoal face mask that will do wonders.. Hmm what else? NARS has an amazing "Hydrating Freshening Lotion" that will soften and moisturise any flakes.. and a mud mask thats pretty much better than any spa treatment I've ever used.

Gee.. I'm not a makeup junkie... Not at all.

Yeah I made the rather embarassing mistake of using the apricot foot scrub/paint stripper on my face... Not good.. I guess that's what I get for playing in my girls "supplies"...
