    New - Comments/Suggestions

I have been visiting the board for awhile and have read some good advice, but have never posted, so I thought what the hell. This is probably the best shape I have been since late 20’s. I have been on a slow/deliberate cutting cycle and hopefully still progressing (have another 4wks). My weakness, like a lot of others, is dieting. I knew when I began that dieting would be my “Everest”, so I gave myself approximately 16wks.

My goal is to get and stay as symmetrical as possible; trying to get everything to gel by [40]. Str8flexed from bb.com has helped a lot even though he’s a cranky bastard: 2-3wks before his contest so it’s understandable – hunger does that <grin>. Any comments or feedback? Can use all the help I can get.

You look very lean, muscle mass looks good also. I was wondering why you have no visable abs though as lean as you are. Do you train abs? This is not a flame but just trying to help a fellow brother of iron out.

Awsome, you've definately gotten much leaner. Your waistline is tiny! Awsome job man! YOu ever think of doing a master's competition. YOu could do well in a natural show!

    Peace

Tedmax195 - Yep 39, will be 40 August. No offence taken.

Rocket - Constructive criticism is what I am looking for (not taken as a flame – thick skin). I have always had trouble displaying a six pack (haven’t given up). I work Abs 2-3x a week. In the past, I used weights, but my abs began to extend beyond the abdominal plane, which gave me that rounded look; I prefer a flatter look. I’ll try to prioritize the abs more and maybe when I get a little leaner, the abs will be more visible. Maybe go back to weights once a week and see you it goes.

Routine (varies but this one is used consistently): 1st group compound set (3x) w/60-90sec rest / 2nd compound (2x) w/45sec rest between sets: 1st - Hanging knee raises, Lat Machine rope crunches, Knee-ins (off bench), Russian twists / 2nd - Swiss ball extensions w/bridge, Bent-over Broom twists. SUGGESTIONS?

Str8 – Thanks Man! Means a lot and gives me motivation. I am considering doing a master’s competition next year. Law school will be out of the way (end of Aug) and I can focus better and devote more time to bringing up my weak points. Hey, you think I bugged you before (PM) just wait – kidding.

Shit that's a good idea, Flynn you should look into that. This board should give you all the knowledge you need to compete i know that a few members compete and are always willing to give advice.

You look great man. What did you diet down from? Also what is your goal after your cutting cycle?

Im going to agree diet is the hardest part, but its a HUGE part no doubt.

I dieted down from, I believe 172-174lbs. In the back compared pic, I was approx. 165-167lbs on May 5 (slow process). After cutting, I'll try to maintain for the rest of summer and then try to add more lean mass in the fall; bringing up lagging parts (arms/upper chest).

You look great, very lean. I'd try and add a little more size in your shoulders and arms and work those traps! How about a pict of your wheels.

Thanks Guys (all). Your comments/suggestions keep me going and motivated to improve!

Carlos_E - I'll see what I can do about a pic of the wheels. Thanks for the feedback.

You said you had thick skin. Maybe thats why you can't see your abs! ;-)

Wow, I didn't think the old abs were "that bad" and if you look close, you can see abs (look close) <grin>!
