Hey, in the spring I've decided to run a half marathon with a friend, since it seems nearly impossible, and something that would challenge me. My half marathon training schedule in the spring is 12 weeks. Guess what else I plan to do for 12 weeks?![]()
Has anyone else had any experiences with running test only (say at 500mg/week) during a period when they did a 5k, 10k, or half marathon?
I suppose there might be chances of tissue tearing or injury, I'm not too sure. The purpose of it would be that I am only going to be lifting probably twice a week (maybe even once!) during that period, since I will be on the road 5-6 days a week. I wanna maintain my current muscle mass basically by doing this. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Thanks!
