I was reading some diet programs online when I ran into one about carb cycling. Basically you cycle from high, medium, then no carb days. The author claims that it can work for when you are bulking or cutting. Just wanted some opinions on it.

I carb cycle. when bulking I do it by default (non workut days = no PWO so less carbs). When cutting I actively carb cycle. I have a high crab day the day before legs so glycogen levels are high for a hard workout. I then taper to V low or sometimes even no carbs on a non workout day and repeat.
I've been carb cycling on and off for the last few years and it seems to keep me lean enough in the off season while putting on muscle mass, but it also helps me drop body fat at a rapid rate during precontest.
I'm with these guys...been carb cycling for quite awhile both off and on season...
I high crab day....so does this really work??? You have to go into detail, cause I'm always up for trying things that show promise....LMAO!!!Originally Posted by perfectbeast2001
Sorry bro...couldn't resist.
thx for the input. so when you say it is carb cycling when you don't have your PWO dextrose, is that enough or do you have to have days when you are consuming half the amount of carbs and other days when you consume none. I know you mentioned you do that when cutting but how about when trying a lean bulk?
LOL yes i eat up to 10 spider crabs. The only problem is when i go to the squat rack I walk sideways and my pincers cant always get a good grip on the bar!Originally Posted by BIG TEXAN
I use carb cycling all the time, when you fully understand how it works and how your own body responds to certain amounts of carbs results are excellent, you can use carb cycling weather bulking or dieting.
