Anyone have the new macbook? Was thinking of getting the Mac Pro, but the price differece between the macbook and pro is a big difference!!. I like apple's for my basic needs, such as the remote control, i tunes, i movie, and that new i sight. But I am not sure of the difference between the two, and if the macbook is any good. Thanx

The PRO is the shit man. Just buy a refurb from apple. You can get one for about $1400 or so. Be sure and get the new version, not the older one with the 1.83 or 2.0 GHz processors. You will love it

Went to apple and they said they don't do that, or dont have any. So is there that much of a difference, besides price between the macpro and the new macbook's? I am not a designer or artist, just need it for basic needs. thanksOriginally Posted by Triple X

I have mac book it awesome i love it. The pro has a larger screen, more standard memory, more ram. but you can upgrade the mac book to close the the pro specs. Plus you can run windows on it if you want which I put it on. but I never us it.

the black one is 100 dollars more just for black, I would use that for more memory or ram. Since everyone out there has a dark labtop pc, but the white stays pretty clean looking to. Plus everyone knows you have a mac.

The mac pro has a larger screen, more memory, and other stuff like that.
If you like watching movies on the laptop though, then the larger screen is alittle nicer.
For basic needs though, the macbook is mighty fine.
