Can You Afford to Drive a Ferrari?

    http://www.sportscarmarket.com/articles/archives/939

"so the total miles out of warranty was 22,700 miles, with a total spent of $65,760.50, or $2.90 a mile, right at $11,000 a year."

"Ferrari ownership is both a lifestyle and a socio-economic statement, just as owning a polo pony is a different venture than keeping a draught horse. As one former owner of S/N 111317 put it, "I spend more than that on crap on eBay every year." No other statement quite sums up the difference between those who lust for a Ferrari from those who can pay the price of ownership."

Personally i am a BMW M3, take the restrictor off for 197 miles an hour, twin turbo, and your lookin at about 600-900 hp, depending on the system. 6 speed manual transmision, rear wheel drive, for only 60,000+10,000 in parts...rated Most impressive car, 5 years in a row, its the shit...

It was created as a race car. (Think Nascar, they have doors welded shut too)

It's lighter to have no mechanisms or locks in the door. They just welded the door skin to the quarter panel, and gutted the door.

I can't afford a Ferrari, but if I could, I'd probably go for other vehicles instead.

I'd probably go with a M5 as my DD, and a Z06 as my weekend warrior.

    Dodge Ram SRT-10

Freaking sweet, and with the Viper motors, they can be tuned very well and make amazing power.

My Nissan Maxima gets me from point A to point B about as well as some of the most expensive cars in the world. You know what the difference is? My car is paid for.

People differ in the ways that they spend their money. I don't spend too much time in the car, therefore, I put very little resources in to my car. Resources meaning money. Heck, I feel lucky to have a car in general, let alone one that is dependable.

You and I think alike! I own a lakehouse in Milledgeville, GA on Lake Sinclair. Lake Sinclair is rated one of the prettiest lakes in the United States. Here's a snapshot of what the view looks like from the balcony of my lakehouse.

That looks so relaxing. My parents are beginning to build a cabin on a lake as well and can't wait for that to be done! Nothing like real estate to bring in the money
