Depends on what's available, and what your time frame is.
Some companies don't offer much in the way of choices. But if you have an index fund, like the S&P 500 (Standard & Poor"s collection of the 500 biggest companies in the USA), that would be pretty good.
It would be to your advantage to look into investing and learn the basic ins & outs. After all, it is your money . . .

yeah don't just put your money into something without researching/planning it a LOT.
investing can be great but you have to know what you are investing in. Do some research and the market can be your best friend
doesnt your company have a financial advisor that you could sit with? I mean usually if they provide a 401K they will also provide some education with it.
