Nizoral works good on Acne. Try proactive too, it seems to work for P. Diddy and Jessica Simpson.
is nizoral over the counter? where can you get that?Originally Posted by king6
You can buy Nizoral 1% OTC, but Nizoral 2% is perscription. But you can still get it over the internet, just do a search. Honestly I would just use proactive.

Dawn and tanning works for me.
Yeah I forgot about the tanning, good acne killer.Originally Posted by Gsxxr

whoa.....dawn for acne... i never thought.....
they did advertise its amazingly good grease breaking strength
what's dawn?
and is the nizoral 1% good enough or is really worth getting the 2%???
Dawn is a dishsoap, I use it when I strip the wax off of my car.Originally Posted by Mista Massive

I have done a lot of research on Nizoral 1% and 2%, and have concluded that there is little difference in the two when it comes to DHT blocking. I think I will still try to get the 2% for my cycle, I like to be extra careful.
i've been using the 1% on my hair, shoulder, and a little on my face and boy does it dry me out.
now that you've said there is little difference i'll stick to the 1%, otherwise with the 2% i might turn my face into a sun dried apricot
theres a type of soap called soapoderm usally ay any chemist,no scrip needed.Originally Posted by axemurderer187
you can use panoxil 5%....its really effective, i used it for about 2 years when i had really bad acne...cleared it right up for me.

SEA SALT. I swear this stuff work wonders. Just buy sea salt from the local super market. Put it in a bowl and add hot water sprinkle all over face and neck before nighttime and dry with towel (dont wash off with water). Do this for a week and u should be a lot more clear.
There is an over-the-counter wash that has benzoil peroxide 10% that I have used and it dries out my back. I got a fairly bad case that got a little out of control and tried all prescription stuff short of accutane. This worked just as good in my opinion. Also, B-5 seems to be working well for me as well. 10 grams a day. You can get it most anywhere, I bought mine at the local Vitamin Shoppe. There are numerous other posts talking about B-5 and several others recommended it to me.

well u sed acme in your origional post.. thats the company wild e coyote uses to get explosives to kill the road runner lol... but for acne the best thing i have tried that works is taking pantothentic acid (vitamin b5) in large amounts.. like 8 grams a day or so.. it clears it up really well.. as well as using some soap or face wash on your face and shoulders
Just pop them suckers.![]()
plain old dawn..
Tanning and drinking plenty of water work for me...But like GSXXR stated dawn will help tremendously.
The key to a clean face for me is two things..Clearing the old dead skin and the oil..So take a wash rag some hot water and rub some Neutrogena with salicylic acid into your face make sure to scrub getting all the dead skin and oil..Then rinse with some cold water..To take of your backny and other acne on your body, the guys are right dawn dishwashing soap is good stuff..Get it lathered into a backscrubber and give your self a good scrubbing..Then tanning should take care of the red marks..
Oh and the scrube thing the girls use works great also.
GSXXR you mean a LOOFA...LOL
Girls are not the only ones who use those.Originally Posted by Gsxxr

Nizoral shampoo at 1% is over the counter at Walgreens and other drug stores. Keep your skin clean with astringents (Neutrogena) to remove dirt and oil. Shower often.
If you're doing modeling, I doubt your acne is that bad. Also, if you're modeling, you don't have time to try different things to see what works. Therefore, I'll reccomend a book: "The Skin Type Solution" by Dr. Leslie Baumann. Trust me, it's the best 20 bucks you ever spent. Good luck!
Try CVS clarifying body wash.
pro active solution - that stuff jessica simpson is endorsing - it actually works wonders - ive seen in first hand on a mate who just had horrible natural acne! now his face is like a baby's bum![]()

LPR....DERMATOLOGY.

Thanks for stoping by 3 days late.![]()
True,...like you said "horrible natural acne"...but i have many patients that try it and is a waste of money. But for someone that is cycling Pro Active may not work.Originally Posted by KickBoxer

LPR.
go sit in a spa for 15 min every day. does the trick for me (proactive doesnt work 4 me, the chemicals benzoyle perocside (sp?) and syscilic acid (sp?) made me break out worse, i guess chlorine (sp?) is all that works for me.
The problem with drying out the skin is that the glands work overtime to re emoliate the skin. This can cause the acne to rebound. It's only a short fix. What you need is to balance the Ph of your skin. You should not be using any soap during cycling whatsoever. That will also effect the PH of your skin. Sorbaline cream is a good soap substitute. You lather it on and rinse it off well.
It won't strip your natural oils and irritate the glands. Iff you still have problems then start on accutane.
You can apply benzoil peroxide after a sorbalin wash. You can get it at the pharmacy cheap and did you know that it is the main ingredient in Proactive?
