    Dairy Products Cause Acne?

    Heard a few things about this. so today i did some web search and found some articles that are on the general topic.



    #1 Has anyone else cut out dairy and found their acne to go away?



    #2 The articles mention hormones are one way acne can occur..........but what about the cows meat? shouldnt that be affected by the hormones also? just curious about that.

    so regardless i think im cutting out all dairy. soy and lactose free whey it is from here.

    let me correct myself before i get advice.

    The following types of whey protein are available today:

    1) Whey protein concentrates are processed at low temperatures and low acid conditions. They can contain as much as 70% to 80% percent protein, with small amounts of lactose and minimal fats. In addition, low tempature and low acid filtration ensures that about 90% - 96% of this protein is undenatured. It also retains most of the active peptides.

    2) Ion exchange whey protein isolates are processed to contain more than 90% protein content with minimal lactose and no fat. This offers an advantage over whey concentrates in terms of pure protein content. However some of the isolation procedures (ion-exchange procedures) lead to a denaturation or a loss of the important peptides. Therefore, ion exchange whey protein isolates may be higher in protein percentage but may not offer the same health and muscle building benefits as the lower protein whey concentrates.

    3) Cross flow micro (CFM) filtration methods have been developed in order to prevent the problems seen with ion exchange proteins. This method is by far the best for whey protein concentration and isolation. In fact, just like ion exchange proteins, this method produces an isolate that is greater than 90% protein with no fat or lactose. However, unlike ion exchange proteins, CFM proteins are at least 99% undenatured and retain all of the important peptides. Also, the calcium content of CFM protein is high and this is an important consideration with high protein diets.





    so my question is would both whey and casein isolate still be from cows milk, then risking the same concerns?

    I am allergic to dairy. All my life I had sinus problems and very bad skin problems (especially on my scalp). During a cutting diet i cut all dairy and noticed the symptoms go away. I added dairy just to see what would happen and they came straight back the next day. Took dairy away again and no more probs. Being allergic to dairy is different to being lactose intolerant so even lactose free foods are not good for me... I miss cottage cheese at night but i get steak instead so its all good!
