infection early into cycle what should i do?

im 16 days into my first cycle of 70mg/ed of test prop. Im pretty sure my shoulder is infected. i didnt think it was at first. it wasnt red or hot to the touch. i was feeling kinda shitty for a couple days when i first start my cycle, but i figured it was from the test. felt good again for the whole 2nd week.

my left shoulder is swollen but didnt hurt a day or two after the prop injection. so i figured it was the prop that made it hurt. it is starting to hurt now though. today was that shoulders injection in the rotation. so when i aspirated this morning i got puss in the needle. i pulled out quite a bit. i was carefull when i did every injection. didnt get cheap on the alcohol pads. cleaned the top of the vile everytime. cleaned the area before and after.

i was gonna go to a walk in clinic tonight to get medication but they closed. im going tomorrow. none of the other injection sites seem to be infected. but if one got infected , the other would have the possiblility of getting infected. so i was thinking about quitting my cycle now 16 days in so i can get this infection undercontrol. i dont want to be chasing infections around. i dont want to quit but i dont know what hte best thing to do is. Do i need any kinda pct for something so short? or any other suggestions?

Test prop is notorious for causing a lot of pain and can cause significant swelling if youre not used to it. Ive had injections swell for over a week and a half, but they werent infected. Now I did have an abcess once and dont want to go through that again, so you going to the doc is a good idea in my mind. It cant hurt going in, take some antibiotics. What kind of prop is it ? People can also get what we call "test flu" where you get a low grade fever and feel like youre sick, but that goes away in a week or so. I think I might continue out your cycle as long as you can. If you want to quit, I do think you might want to consider some sort of PCT. Not sure how to proceed with it though, wouldnt think you would need a lot. Nothing like HCG needed I would think.

If you got puss out of it, it really is infected. What color was the fluid? Kinda yellowish? See the doc as soon as posible. See if you have cellulitis yet. Thats when your skin is red and has little bumps on it, kinda like goose bumps. It has a really weird texture, thats a sure sign. Check your temperature too, mine was bad enough that it got into my bloodstream and I had a temperature of 102. I waited around too long hoping it would clear up and had to have surgery! So dont mess around. The doc gave me 2 shots of a really strong antibiotic and then an oral on top of that. Sometimes they will want to administer it by IV. Just go in ASAP.

yes yellowish. i am going tomorrow morning. what did you tell your doctor that you got the infection from? like i know what it is and what caused it. how should i go about telling the doc. continue with the cycle also?

its still not red at all. same with no goose bump type things either. thats why i didnt think it was an infection till today

well, you can get cists from ingrown hair follicles believe it or not, and those can lead to an abcess. Thats what I had my doc think. I told him I had gone on a 50 mile bike race and about 5 days later my ass started hurting. I did go to an urgent care and not my family doc, so family doc didnt even know I had the surgery. I liked going into the urgent care, and I recent went back again because I thought I might have an abcess forming. This time I told the doc the truth and he put down on my chart that it was from a vitamin B injection. YOu could tell them that.

I would at this point say yes, but I might be weary of that vial you used. If you have injected that same oil though into other sites and they arent infected within a week then it might be ok. YOu mentioned you have other stuff to use, I think I might go to that and toss the other if its not a lot of gear. If its just a portion of a 10 ml vial I wouldnt hesitate to toss it.
