I'll give you the simple version. HGH messes with your insulin/blood sugar. Nothing will "happen to you" immediately but it's just not ideal to eat immediately prior or after. Bodybuilding is a science of maximums and minimums. If you want to get the most out of your time, effort, and money, you have to make sure to do all of the little things right.
