Is there any real problems with running DNP for a short burst (2-3 weeks) while on a cycle of lets say Test C and Tren?

Nope, no problem. Just realize that DNP will oppose protein synthesis by activating AMPK. It might also downregulate the androgen receptor. If you're taking DNP, I'd plan to be cutting, using the AAS to help spare LBM. DNP is anti-catabolic as it is, so this might not be the best use of your AAS. Personally, I'd do a cut with DNP and clen and then run AAS for a bulker.
If you want to just run the DNP for a couple of weeks during a longer AAS bulker, though, I think it could work well for a short check on fat gain.

Oh, and I wouldn't listen to a word that SupaDJDiesel has to say about DNP. I've spoken with him before and he knows too little about it to offer accurate or useful advice.
Why would you say that? Logically, I'd think it would do just the opposite.Originally Posted by Conciliator

Haha. I personally think that it's a great idea to run a short DNP cycle during an AAS cycle. Then again, I wouldn't listen to me because I know too little about it to offer accurate or useful adviceOriginally Posted by Conciliator

WTF? What is that about? The guy hardly ever posts here and the moment you say something about him, BAM, he's here.Originally Posted by Conciliator

Good question...I've been wondering about the same thing. I was thinking of maybe running 1-2 weeks of DNP prior to a clean bulk this summer and maybe one more week during/after PCT.
Good luck with everything,

I ran it during a week on my cycle, and I was perfectly fine, My strength didn't go down at all...
Why would it upregulate energetically-costly protein synthetic pathways? DNP is a strong activator of AMPK, since it lowers the ATP:ADP ratio. AMPK, in turn, will shut off energy consuming pathways (lipogenesis, glycogenesis, protein synthesis) and activate energy producing pathways (glycogenolysis, FFA uptake, insulin independant glucose uptake, glycolysis).Originally Posted by 1buffsob
Really, though, there isn't much data on DNP and the androgen receptor. I don't think there's any in vivo work in humans. The reason I said it "might" is because it's been shown in vitro that prostate androgen receptors are deactivated in the presence of DNP (and in retrospect, this is not the same thing as downregulation). Anyway, you can read more here. They explain:-ConciliatorAnother important aspect of the receptor
dynamics in the target cells is the possibility that
steroid-binding activity of some cellular receptor
proteins may be regulated by an energy-dependent
process. In 1968, Munck & Brinck-Johnson showed
that cortisol uptake by thymocytes was correlated
with the ATP level in the cells. We also reported that
NaCN or DNP can inhibit the nuclear retention of
androgen in the rat ventral prostate (Liao & Fang,
1969). These and similar studies by others (Ishii et
al., 1972; Munck et al., 1972; Auricchio et al.,
1981) suggested that the target cells of androgens,
glucocorticoids and oestrogens contain inactive
receptor proteins that can be activated by an
energy-requiring process.
Sounds like a good plan. I wouldn't run it during PCT though. Eat at maintenance during PCT and do your cut with DNP after your HPTA has recovered.Originally Posted by Tank75
good stuff I'm thinking of a 1 week blast during my cycle, since I'm getting tubby
4000 (clean) cals a day catches up with you eventually
