    Bulking diet help please

    Im around 205 at 5'11 and want to do a clean bulk. Does this look about right? Do I need more calories? I want this to work and have diet perfect. I was trying to get my macros 40/40/20, but it seems like its not working, hard to adjust.


    Meal #1 9:00am - 2 scoops ON Whey Protein 220 2 6 48
    1 cup oats 300 6 54 10
    1 banana 109 1 28 1




    Meal #2 11:20am - 7oz lean chicken 210 7 0 35
    14 almonds 97 9 3 4
    Whole Wheat bread (1) 79 1 15 3


    Meal #3 1:20pm - 1 whole egg 77 5 1 6
    9 egg whites 148 0 3 31
    1 cup broccoli cuts 40 4 0 0
    2.5oz whole wheat pasta 238 1 51 10




    Meal #4 (Preworkout) 3:30pm - 1 scoop ON Whey 110 1 3 24
    2oz whole wheat pasta 190 1 41 8





    Post workout 5:30pm - 2 scoops ON Whey Protein 220 2 6 48
    1.5 Scoops Dextrose 237 0 63 0
    1/2 cup oats 150 3 27 5


    Meal #5 6:15pm - 7oz lean chicken 210 7 0 35
    2.5oz whole wheat pasta 238 1 51 10
    1 cup broccoli cuts 40 4 0 0




    Meal #6 9:00pm - 5oz Top Round Steak 280 5 0 50

    Totals 3536 calories 76g fat 370g carbs 361g protein 42/37/20

    looks OK, depends on if you grow on it or not. if your not growing ,then you will have to increase calories.

    I don't like using so much powder protein. you are better off with more whole foods then powder.
    I only use a meal replacement shake PWO then I eat as soon as possible after that.

    oh oh oh i just wanna add that some of the best results i have ever acquired came from not consuming any shakes... like immediatly after working out i would EAT! plus it keeps metabolic rate higher too.

    I don't know my body well enough but I switched to BCAA's/ whole foods (high GI carbs) PWO and 30min later, whole foods PPWO and keeps me somewhat full, even while cutting

    yeah i do liquied aminos pwo then 15min later i eate pasta and chicken thats been my pwo protocol for quite some time now ..

    40/40/20 is lame
    50/30/20 is way way better

    really? i strive more to produce the bricks (amino's) than the brick layers
    u dont need many carbs.. just WELL TIMED to get the job done

    ^^agreed, people think they need a 1:2 ratio of protein to carbs...don't think that many carbs are needed; 1:1 works great for myself.

    bah run protein higher and just eat ur carbs at the right time.. shud get evenbetter growth or atleast have stinkier sweat.

    its so hard to know if your really gaining properly and fully off the carbs you give your body and so on. i really think with this intake that i will get fat, but isnt that impossible to just gain fat? Thats all clean food intake.
