    Cant digest protien?

I have heard that in some individuals, the "bad genetics" that causes someone to be a hard gainer could be related to the fact that their digestive tract does not produce the normal amount of enzymes that break down protien.

Has anyone else heard of this?
Any journals or articles related to this?
I assume if this is a legit problem, there must be a supplement to combat it already, what is it?

There are many diseases and medical problems relating to people and enzyme inhibition problems with receptors/ligands etc. But that would be something a doctor would have to individually diagnose. The only solution now is for people to take a pH balanced enzyme complex.

Yea, some people may lack specific enzymes to break down the peptide bonds. (called pepsin I believe)

Most people who are hard gainers, myself included, just have incredibly active metabolisms. And as all the people state on here you need to seriously eat every 2-3 hours to keep catabolism of the muscle at a minimum and you need to provide the quality stuff during those meals that your body will use to build and repair your muscle.

I'd like to kick my thyroids ass sometiems.
