Medical Purposes for Winstrol???

I have done some research and I am still a little hazy as to what is the medical purpose of winstrol? I understand it is a veterinary drug, but what is its intended purpose for use on animals.

anaemia, angioedema, appetite stimulant. Though mostly the "veterinary drugs" sold in mexico are intended for use by american bodybuilders.

i work at a hospital and have witness it used on anemia patients.....helps also with hematocrit correction when analyizing blood content and concentration of red blood cells present in blood plasma and whole blood
