^^ guess what dude, I dont use powder anymore, for the last id say 4 months maybe longer I cut out all the shakes and just eat a full meal of chicken breast, steak, lean beef, whatever, and veggies, no carbs cause I go to bed soon after that, I follow up with a cottage cheese/pb right before bed.

ive never looked as good as I do now!, Im leaner, im still getting lean as ive started doing small amounts of cardio, and I look as full and am as strong.

I might go back to powder/dextrose pwo with a meal later this winter when I bulk but not now.

so yeah you'll be fine. powder is OVER rated IMO......

i agree with ya bro especially if u have to go to bed pretty soon after ur workout i think it would be better to take in a meal pwo instead of a shake, but i would take in some carbs too like brown rice or potatos. if u work out in the morning i say a shake would be better cause u can take it with u and drink it right away and in 30-45 minutes have a meal anyway.

^^^ Nah, not for me, in fact my gf told me earlier to day that I feel more dense and at this weight I am now Ive never been lean

when I would eat carbs pwo (from dex/pro powder) I couldnt get as lean and looked puffy

my reasoning for no carbs with last meal is that if I can boost my metabolizm from cardio (i started doing cardio after weights for 15-25 mins) after my workout then maybe I can keep it running higher during the night as I sleep, but if I ate rice or potatoes it might blunt those effects. its not a fact just somthing Im trying to see for myself if it works.

I will go back to this though this winter as im planning a big bulk.

MFT81, i go to bed shortly after my pwo meal, i dont do the pro/dex shakes either bro. Just a good carb/pro meal. Protien shakes make me feel like crap.

UNCCwrestler- Try the cottage cheese/ peanutbutter thing like MFT81 said...its incredable!

Put down the shake and grab a steak. There's no replacement for food. Grilled chicken, steak, eggs, tuna, oatmeal, beans, sweet potatoes, peanuts or natural peanut butter, fruit, veggies and milk are all I eat. I save the protein shake for immediate PWO when I'm using slin or in the morning when I'm in a rush. Sometimes during the day if I can't fit in a proper meal.

I'm not a big salmon fan. Seems to make me sick to my stomach. I like cod and flounder though.
