Raw Eggs

most monrnings for breastfast i have a large bowl of oats, then i have 5 egg whites and 1 whole egg, blended with half of pint of milk and a scoop of whey protein. Is eating raw eggs bad for u, apart from making my farts stink the misises hates it lol.

You can easily get salmonella poisioning....if you are going the raw eggs route eat eggbeaters or store equivilant.....both are PASTEURIZED.

no doubt about it. i read a study that between 20-30% of eggs and or chicken have the salmonella bacteria. but some people can get salmonella poisoning and not get that bad of symptoms. maybe just some diarreah. but then there are strains that will cause more severe problems. its not worh it. one thing you can do is not to use the shell to separate the yolks if you do. sometimes the shell has the bacteria on it. hope this helps.

I've eaten 10 or more egg whites a day for the past 2 years. Albeit they were all 100% organic and pasteurized. The non-organic eggs smell and taste like poison to me. Raw eggs are fine, just find quality eggs.
