I had my taste of test prop few weeks back. I've hit the glute, shoulder, and the quad. The glute was not too bad. The shoulder gave me much more trouble as I was very sore for about 4 days. The area became red and inflamed and it spread for about 2".
The quad was the worst. Same thing, red and inflamed and spread maybe for 3" - redness, pain, and swelling. I was literally crippled for about two weeks, where I couldn't walk. Now, it's approaching almost three weeks. My walking is pretty good right now. Have not done any leg work for about three weeks. Last week, tried to do extensions with very light weights. Today, will try do do squats.
Now to my question. I still have the lump from the injection. It's not at the injection site, it is lower and in the middle of the quad - the injection was on the side. Also, when I touch my muscles of the affected quad, they feel a bit funny. Even, walking early this week, once in a while I would get this muscle 'spasm'. I almost felt as if I were learning to walk all over again.
Overall, I think my quad is improving. Just my concern is with the shape/feel of the muscle and the lump still being there. Also, the affected quad is smaller then the other. I guess from the lack of use.
Is this normal/extreme case and I can expect the lump to go away pretty soon or should I be worried about something?
Thanks.
P.S. This was my first and the only run with test prop. Unused bottles went into the garbage. From this experience, it is not worth to me to run it again.
