I always inject into the gluteal area, however I find it almost impossible to aspirate as I do not have the flexibility or I am physiologically comprimised in this movement. Is it absolutely essential to aspirate and what are the dangers of not doing so?I seem to have run my cycle without doing this and have suffered no ill effects, except occassionally I have obviously hit a small artery and it has caused arterial bleeding , but this these are few and far between. The other aspect of intragluteal injections are why is it that the area becomes quite hard and it feels like you have got two golf balls one in each glute? Does this occur because of a lack of aspiration or is this purely tissue damage from incorrect procedural injection?
