    percentages

need a little help w/ what percentage for carbs, protien and fats. In the arnold schwarzenegger enclyclopedia he suggests 40%, 40%, 20%. in the ace personal trainer manual it says carbs should be 50 to 65%.
Also, I've been reading that the max amount of protien is 1.8g per kilogram of body mass. I've allways thought 1.5 to 2 grams per lean body mass.
    thanks in advance.

Its somewhat subjective, also pertaining to what your goal is. I slightly change the ratio from Carbs and Fat. Dependant on goal again

just lean mass. I work out 2X per day five days a week and only once a day on the weekends. by the manual I should be getting 65% carbs but I think I'll gain fat w/ that recipe.
also, is 1.8g per kg of bw right? Ive been doing 2X lbm.

hard to tell if I would have put on more size by adjusting carbs. My weight/bf% got right. about 5%. but fatigue was high. I droped to about 150g of carbs per day and was pretty lathrgic. I might have put on better size w/ higher carbs also.
I ran my protien at about 360g/day. fat was minimal, just whats in chicken breasts.

i know couple people (very advanced in the nutrtion field) when dieting who first utilize a low carb approach i.e. 25g'carbs am and 25 pwo for 2 weeks then transition to a 45/35/20%'s split p/c/f

i personally just skip the whole depletion area and stay consistently at a 45/35/20 macro ratio.
it work very very well for me. i have a refeed day (like a 35/55/10) bout every 4-5 days as my training is so intense even w/ a 35% carb intake i still seem to deplete my glycogen reserves rapidly.
