I've never tried using for cooking, one of the reason is mct oil's have a very low boiling point and are usually not recommending for cooking with.

    Medium Chain Triglyceride.

Coconut oil heats up pretty thin and can heat up to high when cooking and burn food. I've never personally used it in cooking, i've just heard some negative things about it's cooking properties, not to say I wouldn't try it however.
It also coagulates when cooled down so it's not really ideal in cold recipies either. I personally just like to stick with olive oil, it's a good all purposed oil.

I'm not a fan of cooking with low fat butters, food is more prone to burning. I'd rather use a smaller amount of olive oil or non-hydrogenated margerine than a larger amount of low fat butter.

AAAAHHH !!! So butter has a low boiling point?!

ill end up burning foods more? thus killing the nutritional value of the meal!!!
