Powerlifting Events Include: Raw Bench Press and Deadlift.

just curious.. what kind of weights are the men, 145- but under165 lb. class lifting in the Deadlifts??

im 155ish, and dl around 425 raw, squat 335ish, and bench is 275ish.. would i even be competitive?

i have never been to a powerlifting meet but i feel for my weight im pretty strong, i checked on a website for raw powerlifting and it looks like i would be in the top 1-5 depending on the lift?

any info would be awsome!

Weeman, it would depend alot on if the meet is tested or not. If not, your gonna get blown out of the water. I think you would have to drop down to 142 or 148 or move up to 165.

My first PL meet was at 142 lbs. The kid in front of me squatted 565.. I was amazed..

With all that being said. You should def. go and lift.. Nothing like experience.

i'll have to see if its tested then, im clean so i would hope it is 565 is pretty serious for 142lb person. id like to go but i dont want to be "that guy" haha

LOL. If its tested, and your clean, def. go. Doesnt matter if you come in first or last. You will gain alot of experience.

We aren't going to test, but I think you should come anyways. I got my butt kicked at some meets, but I was always happy to get the experience, it really teaches you a lot just to do it. Its fun to meet the people, and hey, if some steroid guy beats you, then you can just know that you are a natural guy that is competing on a level others need drugs just to keep up with.

i just mapquested it, and its 6-6.5hrs from my house, im gonna ask a few peoplpe i know if they wana do a mini road trip. if so i just might show up.. i really want to go just for the experience, but we'll see how it all works out.

I uploaded the results of the Oktoberfest. Sorry I couldn’t get all the videos of the day up, we had technical problems with the camera. Here are just a few highlights of the event. We are having another show in April called the YMCA Iron Invitational. I will have information about that soon.
