Gym wont allow cut off shirts

I work in a college weight room and the Athletic Director is so scared of Staph Infection that he started a rule so no one is allowed to workout in cut off shirts or even unaltered tank tops. Is there anyway to convince him that its ok to workout in a sleevless shirt. Im looking for scientific data if available? thanks

The only time Id like to enforce that rule is when some acne infested greese ball uses the bench and sweats his puss all over it. Fing sick.

I wish my gym did that. The only men in cutoffs and sleeveless shirts are the ones that shouldnt be in them. Kind of like a nude beach, those that should dont and those that def. shouldnt do...

it's because people are too lazy to wipe the sweat off the pads, and even if you do, women in tanks don't want to put their bodies on the pads after you..

    thus.. the sweat shirts..

I say just wear big t shirts. if its a school gym they can make up any rules they want really, since its private.

I always work out in sweat shirts so I don't get distracted by the mirrors....even though everybody is guilty of a little mirror peek every now and then. But if I were you I would get you and your buddies to start working out in biker shorts until he comes around on the tank tops...lol. Nobody wants to watch a bunch of men work out in biker shorts.......except taiboxa....jk.

Well, as director it's his gym really so I guess he makes the rules...

Personally I'm not into muscle shirts, wife beaters or cutoffs so I don't have a problem there. Most of the people I see wearing them anyways are the ones who should not!

As for wipe down, I sweat like a hog going into the abbatoir... so I always put a towell down on the benches, and wipe down after I am done... it's common courtesy.

I've been known to chase down people who don't wipe or put away their weights I dunno why but it seems that 90% of the time it's some scrawy 120 lbs wangster teen in a wife beater or some "rich bitch" in spandex and more makeup than a clown.

Wear a normal t-shirt like everyone else. Why the need to wear a cutoff?

    Meh..I wear big shirts anyway..

Usually the guys in the cutoffs are the ones that train arms...and only arms...every day.

All I wear In a Gym is Under Armour. Im a Personal Trainer and its the most appropriate clothing to wear while Im training someone, but I have a hard
time getting a good mind muscle connection in my right rear delt (due to some
nerve damage) and actually seeing the muscle work really helps me

if you have a home gym, you can work out nude, it's better for the circulation.. and...

the mirror makes everything look bigger..

Personally, I prefer a cutoff when working out. Sometimes I'll wear a long-sleeved shirt (especially when it gets cold out) to get the muscles warm, but once the blood is flowing I would rather have a cutoff. I sweat way too much with a regular shirt, especially my pits. God knows I have enough shirts with yellow pit stains. I also feel like a longer sleeved shirt can hinder my range of motion/movement, especially when it becomes damp. I also find it more motivating when I can actually see the muscles I'm training get the pump. As Arnold described it, "it's like cumming". I love cumming.
