injecting

hey, i was prepairing for my first injection and everything was going perfect but when i started drawing the injection from the vial all that was coming into the syringe was air bubbles, i had to shoot it back into the vial like 3 times before i could finally get my 1 ml of test, how do i prevent this from next time?

inject air into the vial first equal to the amount you wish to withdraw. what ga needle are you drawing with?

agreed! i like to use a 21g pin to withdraw

i did inject air i injected 1cc of air, yet still had problems. i am using a 23g to draw from the vial

did you make sure the needle is tight on the syringe? I usually tighten them before I uncap the needle. Is the air coming around the plunger or needle?

the air is coming from right below the needle

i mean i dont know where exactly the air is coming from but its settling at the top closest to the needle, when yall draw from the vial do you hold it upside down or right side up

that could have been the problem because when i was done the needle did almost come off the syringe, i will try that again on monday when do another injection, thanks for the help hope that was just the problem, but do yall hold the bottle upside down or normal when drawing from the vial?

doesn't matter, if there isn't much in the vial I hold it upside down, if it's close to full I hold it upright.

did you make sure the needle is screwed on tight to the syringe?

i learned this the hard way a while back when the needle detached itself half way through the injection. talk about a mess and loss of gear... lol. now the first thing i ALWAYS do is tighten the needle before uncapping.
