    Leakage After Injecting...

    Recently (the last 3 or 4 times) after injecting I have been getting a small amount of oil leaking out of the injection site when I pull the needle out. Why is this?

    It's not enough to be worried about wasteage as such, just a small trickle, but it never used to happen and I thought it only happened when you didn't hit the muscle properly and did a SubQ injection... I have been injecting the same as I ever did, using 1" pins on delts and pecs so I am pretty certain I am getting well into the muscle.

    Is this anything to worry about (I know it's not a health issue, I just mean worry in regards to maybe not getting the full effect of the shot) or is it normal?

    no it happens to all of us sometimes, just dont move around alot after you do your shot for a few minutes and hold a paper towel/cotton swab to the site, its normal.

    Pull the skin back alittle the shot then leave the skin go back ..
    Ends up like a zig zag

    You're not pulling the needle too quickly after injecting are you...
    Just press gently on the site after you're done with swab (cotton and alcohol), it's not an issue.

    it pisses me off when that happens. Ill get no blood but sometimes oil.

    Ill gonna try the skin pulling thing.. logically makes sense

    From personal experiece, i had this happen a few times as well. When i started to pull the pin out quickly, it wouldnt happen anymore. Might want to give it a try.

    yes it happens but the stretching the skin method works! also its better for me at least to let it sit for a minute and then pull out slow to let the blood capillaries close as out pull out

    Slide the pin out slowly and steadily, then get a few cotton balls and apply pressure just as it comes out... Doing these injections is alot like screwing a woman, you have to be gentle as you go in and out, but be careful not to have any leakage...

    Has never ever happened to me. Logically, you might not be injecting deep enough, OR you are injecting the solution too fast and it's not being dispersed into the muscle tissue fast enough, so it shoots back out afterwards. I've always made sure to use a 25 gauge pin and each injection has taken me approx 7-10 minutes. That's considered long, but its slow enough of an injection to make sure the solution is evenly dispersed into the tissue and that it wont come back out when i'm done. Slow and steady wins the race.

    apply pressure to the pin and your skin at the same time with an alcohol soaked cotton ball like a nurse does when they take your blood.

    That happens to me sometimes. Put pressure on it with an alchohol swab for 2-3 minutes till the oil can absorb into the muscle tissue. I try to leave the pin in for 10 seconds after you inject all the oil, then pull it out.

    Most i've ever done is 1 and a half ml. I just like to go really really slow to ensure full dispersion.

    even when i press and massage for a few minutes, i notice on shoulder shots ill get red irritation under the the injection. this is with prop and i guess when it leaks it irritates the hell out of the sub q tissue

    Happens to me too....but I don't sweat it... its a negligible amount really... but the psychological component of seeing it leak out can be quite annoying, but eventually you learn to not obsess over little issues like these... so no need to cry over spilled gear
