'The Weather Channel' Founder: Global Warming ‘Greatest Scam in History’

The Weather Channel Founder: Global Warming ‘Greatest Scam in History’
John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel, has written an article in which he calls the idea of man-made global warming 'a scam:"
    http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/...er_global.html

It is the greatest scam in history. I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by it. Global Warming; It is a SCAM. Some dastardly scientists with environmental and political motives manipulated long term scientific data to create in [sic] allusion of rapid global warming. Other scientists of the same environmental whacko type jumped into the circle to support and broaden the "research" to further enhance the totally slanted, bogus global warming claims. Their friends in government steered huge research grants their way to keep the movement going. Soon they claimed to be a consensus.

Environmental extremists, notable politicians among them, then teamed up with movie, media and other liberal, environmentalist journalists to create this wild "scientific" scenario of the civilization threatening environmental consequences from Global Warming unless we adhere to their radical agenda. Now their ridiculous manipulated science has been accepted as fact and become a cornerstone issue for CNN, CBS, NBC, the Democratic Political Party, the Governor of California, school teachers and, in many cases, well informed but very gullible environmental conscientious citizens. Only one reporter at ABC has been allowed to counter the Global Warming frenzy with one 15 minutes documentary segment.

I have read dozens of scientific papers. I have talked with numerous scientists. I have studied. I have thought about it. I know I am correct. There is no run away climate change. The impact of humans on climate is not catastrophic. Our planet is not in peril. I am incensed by the incredible media glamour, the politically correct silliness and rude dismissal of counter arguments by the high priest of Global Warming.

In time, a decade or two, the outrageous scam will be obvious.

ive asked this before but what happens to the trillions of tons of co2(amongst others)that is released into the atmosphere every year, which was originally locked up in the rocks/earth. are we to presume this has no effect on our weather at all?

it has been confirmed that co2(although a very small amount thus far), methane and nitrogen and other gases make up our natural greenhouse effect which provides essential heat for most life forms, would it not make sense to conclude that the more gases we add the more this effect is enhanced?

Humans use oxygen and expel co2.
plants use co2 and expel oxygen.

No matter how arrogant we become, mother nature is not so easily thrown off by us.

Water vapor has more of an effect on global temperature than any of those gasses combined

perhaps next the Gore squad will be pushing for Americans to exercise less in order to reduce co2 and water vapor emissions into the atmosphere...........

that would be true if we didnt destroy woodlands . we build more and more never allowing mother nature to equalize.

Algae produces the vast majority of Oxygen on this planet...not trees

"It is estimated that algae produce about 73 to 87 percent of the net global production of oxygen[4] - which is available to humans and other animals for respiration."

During times of high oxygen content, the animal kingdom of the planet grows to a larger average size. During times of high co2 content, plant life grows to a larger average size and in turn creates more oxygen. More plants or larger average size of plants both equate to more co2 use and more o2 being put back into the atmosphere. As I have said, mother nature is not so easily tricked, even at the hands of man........

At one point, in early early times, the earth's atmosphere became 80-90% oxygen due to algeas flurishing on the high co2 content that was available previously. When it started to drop, they credit that with the reason why many of the giant flying animals went extinct. They were too big an unable to respire properly as the O2 levels dropped....this was the before the mass extinction...or...when God decided to create Man...whichever you believe

During WWII man made co2 decreased while the overall co2 in the atmosphere increased.

I cant argue either of your points. Maybe its not "global warming" but I have been to the south american rainforests as well as the north american wetlands and I find it hard to belive its supposed to be concrete and dirt . There has to be some sort of reprocutions. Perhaps its just the next stage of evolution. Whatever you call it we should all be concerned about pollution , clear cutting ,and the like . A lot of people give little or no thought to any of these things , if nothing else "global warming" gave people somthing to think about .Turn off the lights in the empty room , put on a sweater, walk your fat ass into the dunkin donuts instead of sitting in the drive thru.

people need to focus on the real problem
population 2x compounding every 50 years
imagine the damage twice as many of us can do.
all that co2 was in the atmosphere at some point, it didn't start out in the rocks, were going to burn it all either way weather it's now or later.

I hardly think a guy with a network will change my opinion which is, more or less, conclusive in the scientific community.

Now, if it was a bunch of several scientists world wide... that would make me think otherwise.

    For now...

This is a bunch of scientists. And your opinion isn't "more or less conclusive in the scientific community"

Me, I don't know much about the weather. But, Sister Paula, the transgendered Christian Evangelist, has her own take on this issue:

People drive these in Spain. I saw them all over the place. What Americans consider a mid sized car is considered a BIG luxury car there.

No it wouldn't and that was the point of my above post. Besides, in the US only 25% of CO2 emissions comes from cars and trucks.

You're kidding right? No one is asking shipping or trucking companies to drive them. You don't need a big SUV to drive around your snot nosed kids. They can fit in one of these. Then again, considering how fat the average American is maybe they can't.

Your kidding, right? That's a 2-seater. Where would you keep the kids, on the roof?
Shipping, trucking, and construction form the majority of large vehicle users. The average American does not drive a Tahoe.
