Too many things to take for PWO meal

I'm currently taking creatine, protein and glutamine, and also dextrose to spike insulin levels after workout... All 4 are supposed to be taken workout... Can I take all 4 of these as my PWO meal? Or just a couple? Which ones do i drop? Do they fight for absorption and is it a bad idea to take all 4?

They're all fine to take together.... that combo will help volumize/recover your muscles pretty effectively as a PWO shake

I use "Up your mass" and "micronized creatine" for PWO. The up your mass has glutamine, bcaa.efa's,argininne, and other god stuff all in one product.

    Supplement Sequence

I was looking for answers to similar questions recently and came up with the following suggestions from various posts. Take creatine in 4 doses during the day with high glycemic carbohydrates such as white grape juice, or any other fruit juice: I'm using grapefruit juice since I'm on an oral only cycle and it supposedly enhances absorption. Take glutamine in 3-4 doses during the day, but not with your whey protein, because it'll compete with the glutathione in the whey protein for absorption: I take my post workout glutamine right after the meal following my post workout shake. Maltodextrin (or the high GI carb of your choice) should be taken 10 minutes before the whey protein to take full advantage of the insulin spike and ensuing nutrient uptake.

I kinda have to disagree with the above post, Creatine and glutamine only have to be taken twice a day, at 5g each per serving. MANY shakes out there now have 5g of glutamine in each serving, as for the creatine i reccomend AST micronized creatine, 5g twice a day. So really all you have to do is find a good shake out there that has 5g of glutamine in it, and add 5g of the creatine to each serving. Like i said i reccomend UP YOUR MASS, imo its the best out there

i would reccomend 1 serving about 45 mins prior to workout(so your stomach can settle) and then 1 serving PWO. The bcaa's ,glutamine and creatine are best taken pre/post workout

that looks good but i would take 2 servings of that, you really wanna get about 45-50g protein and about 80-90g carbs

i disagree with many of the above posts.

when taking creatine you only need one serving of 5g. more is not better.

you can combine your pro, carbs, creatine and glutamine. it is common practice.

    Creatine Choices

I read a thread about creatine choices recently that mentioned Kre-alklyn. It sounded like the best choice to me. I'm currently using up my micronized creatine and will switch over when I run out. Check it out here: http://www.kre-alkalyn.net/ . The reason creatine is often taken over the course of the day, is that your body tries to excrete the excess in your system. Taking it pre and post workout is very important, but am and pm doses are also important to maintain a good level in your system.

All in one workout shake mixes are convenient, but don't always have the right mix of ingredients and they aren't all optimally taken at once.

only if you dose higher than is necessary for your weight.

not really. once you have achieved saturation, the timing is not very important. until that has occurred, it is, but not thereafter.
