dentists i think are better. but pricey. i think its like 400 bucks. i used the over the counter whitning stuff made by CVS insted of like the name brand stuff. and it was like 20 bucks and my teeth gleam!. i get compliments all the time. add that with some tanning. you'll have some really white lookin teeth haha
dentist office is better for your teeth as the peroxide solutions we get OTC wear away at your enamel and they can make your teeth translucent and grey looking if done too much. also your gums can get eroded by the peroxide as well. the dentist office does it very well w/ a UV light and some other things and it looks really good after just one visit. but it is expensive when compared to OTC stuff. that being said I use crest whitestrips i use a box for like 30bucks and then wait a few months b4 doing it again. until i get my grill iced out yo! werd
crest whitestripes work good and there cheep
As long as its got the hydrogen peroxide in it youre good to go...I have used crest white strips, the colgate paint on stuff...and a 5 dollar box that came with a crap load of gel! they all worked the same but I still have 3 tubes of the 5 dollar stuff left over.... So here is what I think...when you get the white strips you are paying for the word " crest " on your box...I found no difference. the 5 dollar box even came with a mouth tray too.
It has to say "carbamide peroxide", I brush my teeth w/baking soda and they're very white and I get compliments on them all the timeOriginally Posted by MrTAME
My teeth are discolored from erythromyecin when i was a toddler. I have a close professional friend as a dentist. He said it the same stuff just it take longer for OTC to get the results and a lot of people want it whight right now and dont realize it is a process it not all in one shot and if you take your time you wont burn your enamel off.

However, this is too abrasive to be done on a daily basis. Over time you will wear down the enamel on your teeth.
If you want it done and want it done correctly just go to the dentist.
I paid 400 for the tray and the stuff from the dentist. Most of the initial cost comes from them making a mold of your mouth to make the tray though.
It works really well. Use it for 10 days strait and your teeth are super white. Girls notice all the time.
If you can afford it, just go for the UV light method at the dentist. I just needed one session and they were looking very white afterwards.
They felt a bit funny for a day though.
Oh, and he also gave me a tray and peroxide to take home with me if I wanted them whiter. I haven't used it yet but might someday as a topup.
Denist is the way too go
The Crest white strips really make teeth sensitive
I hear baking soda makes your teeth brittle, is there any truth to this?

Looks promising, except when the recommend buying multis from GNC
OTC makes my teeth sensitive as hell, so I can't use it. I have gotten mine done at the dentist before, and they did a great job. Expensive though
just got the stuff from cvs works great but yea dentist is prolly better but pricy
bakin soda does damage teeth
There was an ebay seller that sold the kit for the trays for about 80 bucks. He would send you the molding stuff and then you would send it back with your mold of your teeth. He then would send you your teeth trays. Only took about a week for all of this, and he would give you everything in pre-packaged pre-paid mailers. He also sold 'night white' solution that made your teeth really white, stuff is badass.

thats it man, whitest teeth in a week. Same as dentist for only 55 bucks. Although I wouldnt go with the 22% solution, i think they have 16% and 10%. 22% will mkae your teeth hurt and real sensitive.
