    KNEE injury advice needed

    Hi guys..

    Well, I'm a bit pissed at myself, but can't change what happened! I was playing football, and to make a long story short, I hyper extended my knee. I did hear a pop, and got sick at my stomach.

    I have not been to the hospital or doctor yet. This happened on thursday evening. I am able to walk on it. Friday, the stiffness set in... yesterday was better and today is even better than the day before.

    The is some swelling, but not alot. It's on the outside of the knee. No discoloration that I can see.

    How long do you think I am going to be out for?

    And is there any exercises I can to to start rehabing?

    not until you get it looked at.... thats step #1. rest it til then. it could be simple hyperextension or a tear --no way of knowing til u get it checked.

    Had it looked at. Doc said that there was some play in it, personally thought that it was a strain. Not much fluid on it.. , but also stated that the only way that make sure was an MRI.

    I tell you that from Friday morning to today is day light and dark! Friday I could hardly lift my leg to get in the shower.. no problem today.

    I still think the mri is a good idea, provided you have insurance.

    mri and a visit to the orthopedic to be sure

    i did that and ended up taring my ACL MCL and both Cartilige. After the 1st sergary i was out for 2 months then i had to have another one and then i was out for about a year after that as far as sprots went. But i did do the Tharapy and that helped aton with my flexability and atraphy. THe key is go to you Physcal therapy it will help you in the long run no matter how boring and stupid you may think it is.
