I was away from my home on Saturday night from 5:30PM to 7:30PM. When I walked in through my front door at 7:30PM, I walked into a house that absolutely wreaked of natural gas. I could also hear something hissing and it sounded as if it were coming from the kitchen. So I made my way into the kitchen and it just so happened that two of the four burners on my stove had been turned on high. Well, I didn't do it so someone had to of entered my home while I was gone and turned them on. So I turned the burners off, opened the downstairs windows and then called the cops.
I've got to admit that I've been pretty freaked out while being at home since that event. Now that David has passed away, it's kind of terrfying being home alone. I'm confident that a good portion of my neighbor knows that I'm now living alone so I'm afraid that that makes me a better candidate for being violated in regards to my home. Other than changing out the locks and having a monitored security system, what else could I do?
Thanks
