    Infections from shots

Second time iv have gotten an infection at the site of injection.
this is my fourth cycle and have nevr gotten them before. Order 150 needles about 6 months ago. first infection was in the delt and this second one is in my thigh. I always wash my hands before injection. I use the right kind of alchol as well. I swab the area with a tiolet paper soaked in the alchol, let it dry and then inject. I never place needle down without putting cap back on. Whats the deal? Do needles go bad after a while, like an experation time?

I have learned to have a stock pile of antibiotics on hand. Amoxicilin worked before so I keep a bunch on hand.

not saying it caused you problem but, "toilet paper soaked in alcohol" is not good sterile technique my friend. the first step i would take is buy some alcohol pads (they are cheap) and ditch the gear. its not worth the risk.

I have had the gear tested at a lab on several occasions( I like to keep them honest, each order i get, i send off a sample to the lab for testing), but you are so right about the toilet paper soaked in alchol. I will pick up some pads asap.
    anyone else have anything?

Buy some sterile filters and 20ml syringes as well as 18g pins. Run the gear thru the sterile filter into another sterile vial. Then add 1% BA to that gear, shake up and let sit for a couple days. That should kill anything causing your infections, at least thats what i would do in your case. you sent the gear off to the lab and it came back as being legit so i would use that method and keep using it. If you get another infection, you may be allergic to the oil that they used in the gear...in that case I wouldnt use it.

sounds good, but what is the 1% BA and where do i get it? i know i can the sterile vials from lion. Shouldnt b the kind of iol becuase iv been cycle this juice for about 6 months now and no problems accept the twice. I think i must b doing somthing wrong during injection, but this doesnt sound like a bad idea though..

If I could pick one thing, I would say your problem is the toilet paper. Paper towels and toilet paper my breakdown and leave crap behind, and then you pierce the spot with a pin and you drag the crap into the injection site...

Alcohol swabs/pads or cotton balls with alcohol is what you should use. Preferrably the pads.

yeah no doubt. makes sense. I konw its infected because there is red streaking of the skin in the area as well as heat coming from the area and lots of pain. dam infections suck. as if its not hard enough sticking myself ED, working my balls to the wal in the gym and on this damn diet.

Have you ever injected into an area where the alcohol has not dried? It stings like a mother-f'er. And Ive yet to get an infection from letting the alcohol dry.

Hm... sounds alot like what I went through a few weeks back, I asked on the board and no one seemed too concerned so I let it be. It went away after a few days but I can rememer two days where the pain was somethin fierce. And it was hot to the touch. Best of luck to ya my dude.

hi all~~ i think my ugl testoviron is the cause of my infection too, i still gotta take a few pics and post it on the fake gear place.

but last time a few pros told me it might be my gear is the cause of my infections, last time my shoulder was swollen for a week, red rashes, itchy, painful when touched.

so i thought it might have been the technique of injection or just the site not having had enough rest or something.

then i had a shot on the glute on Monday, and same thing happened again... lol... one cheek was way bigger than the other, and also painful when i walk, maybe the body fat is concealing the rashes, having a fatter layer. but definately swollen, and it hurt really bad.

um... kinda hard to get some filters and sterile vials in HK thouhg....

Wrong! NEVER inject immediately after you wipe the alcohol on! That's a sure fire way to get bacteria right into the injection site. The average wipe and stick technique does not give the alcohol time to kill anything. Therefor all you are doing is cleaning dirt away. You need to give the alcohol at LEAST 30 seconds to do it's work and kill the bacteria.

If skin disinfection is practised, the skin should be cleaned with an alcohol swab for 30 seconds, and then allowed to dry for at least 30 seconds, otherwise it is ineffective (Simmonds 1983). Additionally, if the injection is given before the skin dries, not only does it increase pain for the patient, as the needle entry will make the site sting, the bacteria are not rendered inactive and may be inoculated into the injection site (Springhouse Corporation 1993).” [4]
