    Any non-body builders out there?

Body builders have been a great help for me in setting up my 1st cycle. Most on-line resources that I have seen have been geared towards them.

I'm on my first cycle (week 3 of 8 on 500mg test-e per week. 6' 190, 40 years old). The thing is, I'm a bicyclist.

I've already gained 7 pounds of awesome, sinewy muscle. My concern is related to weight and heart rate.

As I powered up some big hills today, I could feel major new strength in my quads, calves, and even in my upper body on torquing sprints and standing up. Still, the additional weight has major drawbacks. Weight rolls slowly uphill. Also, I think that my heart rate is being impacted by the steroids themselves.

Has anyone else noticed any of these things? Is my cycle to focused on bulking? Does a lighter cycle help in building strength without so much weight gain?

Your Cardio vascular system just needs time to catch up. You will be better off in the long run though. Think of it this way: alot of your energy right now is going towards building muscle. Cardio will lag some on a cycle.
You will gain some water but you will drop it all within a week or two of finishing the cycle. Be sure and drink 1-2 gallons of water a day as this will help with the water retention. Some will say you can only bulk on a test only cycle. I personally think its all about 3 things: diet, training regimen, and rest. Even some of the water can be controlled by proper diet.

Why only 8 weeks? Test e and cyp are usually run for 12?

    Still learning

Thanks for the thoughts on water. I hadn't really been that focussed on the hydration side of things. Guess I'm too worried about the additional weight. I can see how post cycle, the dividends will pay off big.

I am doing 10-12 weeks, I misspoke about 8. I do worry though about the gains becoming unmanagemable. I want to be strong an ox but I don't want to feel like a footbal player.

Then it's time to manipulate your diet and axillary compounds.

A lighter cycle will just give lighter results. If you plan to cycle again, look at using something thats more androgenic than it is anabolic (test is subjectively equal at both). This will give you strength gains without the weight gains.
