after the mid 90's, puff daddy really destroyed rap and hip hop imo, resulting in the crap we have today. Hip Hop soul and RnB in the mid 90's had some pretty awesome grooves. The RnB and HIp Hop from 1988-1993 or 1994 to me is still awesome to listen to, do this day. teddy Riley is the man. But puffy daddy really stunk up the music.

anything on the radio is horrible. But there are ALOT of good underground rappers that will never get a record deal that are f*cking awsome.
Like: Celph Titled, apathy, the demigodz, ras kass, eyedea & abilities, ( 2nd best freestyler ever) super natrual, ( best freestyler ever) cunninglynguists, emilio lopez, termanology, ed rock, 7L & Esoteric.... I could go on

.... its not so much rap. It is the people that portray it. The un intelligent drug dealer/thug that can not form a proper sentence so he puts it in a song and we give him millions for it. Worthless in my opinion.
Also, i think it gets more annoying when a car driving down the road has a compressed horn blearing rap slowed down. All you hear is a dog dying coming from there car.
