Glucophage & Fats

I know when taking insulin you do not want to consume fats while slin is still active. what about glucophage? i no it increases insulin sensitivity and will increase the transportation of glucose into muscle sells. How does consuming fat while on glucophage effect the body? Will you gain fat? The half life is so long it would be impossible to avoid consuming fats with glucophage, right?

Glucophage controls the amount of sugar in your blood. Just don't consume fats when your blood glucose is low. If your blood glucose is normal then eat as per usual.

Thanx Gear, so use my glucose meter and eat accordingly. do i want my first dose of glucophage w/ my pwo shake like i would w/ slin? or do i just want to take one in the am and one in the pm? 850mg per dose

Standard dose is 500mg 2 x p/day. 850mg 2 x daily may not be necessary so you might want to start with taking 1000mg p/day divided into 2 doses. Is there a reason on why you want to take 850mg or is it because you have the "GL 850" tabs? Anyway, definitely take it around the time you consume food.

Do you really need gluco? Controlling your blood glucose is not that hard.
