    dorm cooking

i know there have been threads on this before but for some reason the search buttons not working for me...but any ways im in the military and living on base is basicly living in a dorm room. what kind of foods can i buy to help me bulk up. i know tuna and can goods but i cant really think of anything else. we have a refidge and microwave and thats it. so my options on cooking stuff are limited. im on a tight budget also. is this gonna hold me back alot on trying to bulk up? the chow hall here sucks on trying to eat healthy. basicly all they fgot healthy are subs and thats not the greatest either

Hey wasup, i try eat as much as possible so quick convenient food is essiential.

Oats for breakfast, they are absorbed into the blood stream slowly helping to keep blood sugar levels stable.

Raw whole mixed nuts as a snack - nuts are a good source of fibre and fatty acids and protein.

Beef jerky - high in protein count, tasty but pricey.

Protein bars, shakes, raw veg and fruit.

Boiled eggs and tuna mixed up and light mayo with some potatoe.

it must be shitty with out a grill or oven, try get a geroge foreman grilla they rock.

A foreman grill would def help here...make meat in bulk and refridgerate it and microwave it later.

Just as everyone else has said...get the foreman grill as soon as you can. I understand the money is tight but I wanted to throw that in here. Ask someone or buy a crock pot or sometimes called a slow cooker. You can plug it in and go. Fill it with chicken and veggies and leave it all day. Boiled eggs as people suggested but you can also boil chicken. Natural PNB. You can get it done. Use the search engine and hit crock pot recipes or boiled recipes and start learning to cook with what you have. I did it in a dorm for a year with a crock pot and boiled stuff. Just use different flavors with it...hot sauces and soy all that junk. Good luck and thanks for your service.
