How cold does it have to be before it crashes? I mean is shipping durring winter going to cause issues?

It'll go way smoother if you warm up the product before you shoot. Hold the bottle under warm water for a few.

i had some gear arrive last january and it was crashed from being shipped in the cold.
just heated it up with a ceramic heater and it was good to go
