Can someone suggest a good photo recovery software that is not too terribly expensive. there a re a few I have found that are free but the free ones only give a few options but you need to buy it to get the rest of the options.
Any suggestions.

The best image recovery software I've found to date is Zero Assumption Image Recovery.

It will even recover damaged and incomplete images (well, the parts of the image that are left of course!).
