I will always remember waking up that day, the same as how my grandparents remember waking up to the news of Pearl Harbor. I never could really understand what they were talking about as far as the shock and horror. On that day it was all to clear what they meant.

i woke up to get ready for work and saw it on the news. at first i thought it was a movie or something and then i saw the 2nd plane hit and i was like WTF!? this is on the news!! that was a crazy day.

Our parents will always have "Where was you on the day Kennedy was shot", we'll always have "Where was you on the day the Twin Towers came down".

I had a day off and was shopping, and funny enough I was looking at a TV in a shop at the time the news came on and I saw Hell on earth. My first thought was "someone set off a nuke over NY", because of the amount of smoke there was.

The world changed for the worse after that day.

I was in my History class when the dean rushed in and told the prof to turn on the television. We all just sat in awe. I saw the second plane hit. I will never forget that image no matter how hard I try. Looking around after about 10 minutes I looked around the room and the class size had nearly trippled with people coming in to watch. Now mind you this room was in an auditorium due to it's size.

The Horror is all that plays in my head.

Oh I have respect and i do remember all the people that died.... that shouldnt have died..... if our government would of been faster....... and i wont keep on going like another user stated this is about remembering the people who died. so to them much respect and rememberance.

All i remember is the thermite our own government put in the towers to launch a war not only against the middle east ( any countries not willing to sell Oil in US dollars) and to start a war against our own civil liberties.

I do feel sorry for the people who lost their lives but thats what 9/11 is to me.
